Ian Glenday

He began his career managing an enzyme production plant, where he developed the concepts and principles of RFS (Repetitive Flexible Supply) for application in process industries. He worked at Reckitt & Colman, where he was responsible for implementing the strategy of the company's supply chain in Europe, based on the concept of "every product every interval". As Director of Strategy Deployment at Colman in Norwich, he obtained a substantial increase in sales, market share and profit margin, through the application of Lean Thinking throughout the company.

He has recently been working for companies as a sensei and lean coach, working with the chemical, pharmaceutical, and food and beverage sectors, among others. Ian is the author of the books Breaking Through to Flow and Lean RFS: putting the pieces together, both of which gained the Shingo Award.
