Alain J. P. Belda

Eex-Alcoa Global CEO

A Business Administrator from Universidade Presbiteriana Mackenzie, he worked four decades in Alcoa Group since 1969, when he was hired by the brazilian affiliate.

Held several positions in the financial and planning área until he was named Alcoa Alimínio President in 1979, taking the Alcoa Vice Presidence position in Latin America from 1982 to 1991 and being President from 1991 to 1994, when he was named Alcoa Inc. Executive Vice President. He was the main executive of Alcoa Inc. from May of 1999 to May of 2008, when he became President of the Board of Directors.

He was a member of Citigroup Inc. Board of Directors from July of 1997 to March of 2012. Currently, he is an independentmember of Indusval SA Bank Board of Directors since May of 2011, of Renault SA since May of 2009, of International Business Machines Corp. (IBM) since July of 2008, and of Omega Energia Renovável SA since October of 2010, and he also participates and captains several associations and boards of national and foreign institutions related to education and philanthropy.

Mr. Belda is the CEO of Warburg Pincus LLC, and he leads this private equity fund investments in Latin America since 2009.
